Did you know that your yard needs just the same nutrition and care as humans do?  Your lawn and landscaping needs to be fed and watered just like we do.  One way we do this is by fertilizing your yard. That is why Tulsa and the surrounding areas rely on Make It Greener Full Service Lawn Care & Landscaping to take care of the fertilization treatments.

We offer a number of treatment programs that are unique to your specific property.  First off, let me say that everything we use is organic, therefore, making it child and pet friendly.  Our seasoned lawn fertilization professionals will customize a treatment program, whether it be liquid or granular, to make your property the best it has been and will contiue to improve its overall health.

Another way to enhance the work of fertilizer is regular watering.  I know, I know, the summers here are ridiculously hot and watering can be overbearing on the pocket book.  However, with watering 45 minutes 2 - 3 times a week will keep your yard hydrated for the perfect appearance while keeping the cost manageable.

You might be wondering what is included in the basic fertilization and weed prevention package?  Well, your answer is just below...

Early Spring - Lawns always wake up hungry in the spring.  Feeding your lawn in the spring strengthens roots and gets it off to a good start before the heavy growing season and warm days.  If you had crabgrass last year, we will apply a combination fertilizer to control it.

Mid Spring - Spring is essentially lunch time for lawns.  Your grass is busy and using up stored energy.  That's why you want to supply the lawn with a feeding designed for this time of year.  Unfortunately, broadleaf weeds are actively growing, too.  We will hit them hard and then feed your lawn with a combination of fertilizer.

Early Summer - As us Oklahomans know summer can be tough on grass.  Heat, drought, foot traffic, and insects really stress it out.  Feeding your lawn in the summer protects and strengthens it against these problems.  Lawns in warm-season grass areas should be fed over the summer months as they grow steadily from spring to fall.  If we notice insects in your grass, we will also knock them out as well.

Mid Summer - Usually a granular fertilization plus spot treatment for weeds. Depending on the heat and how stressed your yard is, we will make the judgement whether or not to fertilize, because after all, when you use Make It Greener Full Service Lawn Care & Landscaping we take pride in what we do and have honor for what we do. If it does not need to be fertilized or is under too much stress, then we won't.

Late Summer - Typically a spot treatment for weeds and a touch up granular fertilization, if needed.  We will advise you if we do not fertilize, as it is important for you to understand why and be aware that we did or did not fertlize.

Early Fall - Fall brings back ideal conditions for your lawn.  The cool nights, ample rainfall and morning dew are just about as good as it gets for grass.  We will call this the grass paradise.  Now the lawn is ready to grow again, and is looking for the nutrients it needs to recover from summer damage. Some experts will say this is the single most important lawn feeding of the year, which Make It Greener agrees.  We will apply your final feeding right before the winter months, when grass is prepping for a winter nap. This will strengthen roots and increase nitrogen storage for an early spring green up and a healthier lawn next year.
